Study on the Quality Stability of Rose Effervescent Tablets and Evaluation of Antioxidant Activity
Main Article Content
Abstract
This paper experimentally evaluates stability and antioxidant properties of rose effe
rvescent tablets; investigates
the six month stability of three batches of rose effervescent tablets sold in the market at room temperature. At the
same time, 1,1 diphenyl 2 trinitrophenylhydrazine (DPPH) was used in antioxidant experiment to compare rose
tea with the same concentration and thereby evaluate the antioxidant activity of rose effervescent tablets. The
evaluation shows that the rose effervescent tablet prepared by this process is stable within 6 months, and the
content of the six medicinal ingr edients and various indicators detected in the effervescent tablet are relatively
stable without significant changes. Rose effervescent tablets have better scavenging effect on DPPH free radicals
than rose tea with the same concentration. It shows that the prepared rose effervescent tablets have relatively
stable quality and the preparation process is feasible, which provides a reference for the follow up long term
stability experiment of rose effervescent tablets and related health products.
